About

I wrote about Seoul's food scene for eight years before becoming a guide. My tours start in traditional markets like Gwangjang and Mangwon and end in the tiny Euljiro bars that only locals know. I'll explain every dish, help you order like a regular and adjust everything to your diet. Vegetarian, halal-friendly and allergy-aware tours are all possible. I also speak Japanese.

Vegetarian here and I never felt left out. Seoyeon planned a full veggie route through the market, including temple-style dishes. Amazing.

We booked Seoyeon on our first full day and it set the tone for the whole trip. Bindaetteok, yukhoe, kalguksu and a makgeolli tasting. She even helped us download the right subway app.

She knew the owners at half the stalls. It felt like eating with a local friend rather than being on a tour.

I travel solo a lot and this was the highlight of my week in Seoul. Seoyeon also sent me a list of places for the rest of my trip.

Great food and great company. The tour ran a bit longer than planned because we kept ordering more, which was honestly our fault. Would book again.

    日本語がとても上手で、市場の歴史やおすすめの食べ方まで丁寧に説明してくれました。また韓国に来たら絶対お願いしたいです。

Worth every dollar. We ate our way through Mangwon Market and she taught us how to order at a pojangmacha tent. Really warm person and super organized.

Seoyeon took us through Gwangjang Market and then to a tiny Euljiro alley bar we would never have found on our own. She explained every dish, ordered things we didn't know existed and remembered that I don't eat pork. Best four hours of our trip.
